About
Praia da Itapeva, also known as Praia de Fora, is about 6 km long and lies to the south, after Parque da Guarita. Its name comes from Morro da Itapeva, a Tupi-Guarani expression associated with “flat stone.”
It is a beach of wide horizons, wind, dunes and open sea. Because it is more exposed, check sea conditions and prefer stable-weather days, respecting permitted access points and sensitive environmental areas.
